Half-Blood (A Covenant Novel - Book 1)

I am so excited to finally (officially) release the book cover and blurb from my novel HALF-BLOOD (A Covenant Novel - Book 1) due out September 15, 2011.

So . . . here is the cover . . . .

And in case you are wondering what the heck is the book about and why bloggers are picking it as one of the books they are reading in 2011 (which, by the way, makes me squeal like a school girl).

Official Blurb:

The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi—pure-bloods—have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals—well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures.

Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:

Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden.

Unfortunately, she’s crushing hard on the pure-blooded Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn’t her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden.  And that would kind of suck.

Now for some webpages out there dedicated to Half-Blood.

So excited to share this with you all!

I just want to give a special thanks to the team at Spencer Hill and Kate! You guys rock. Kate, you especially rock for all kinds of reasons. Also to my awesome beta readers who, without them, Alex probably wouldn't be nearly as interesting. Or cool. Or anything really.

Julie Fedderson and Kimberlee Turley make why having a great beta reader something to cherish and hold on to. Not too mention they are great authors. Which always helps.

And happy early Thanksgiving!!
