Half-Blood is heading overseas

I've been sitting on this for awhile. The publishing world moves kind of slowly, but I finally get to share that both Daimon and Half-Blood has (sniff, sniff) grown up and made their first international jump to bookstores overseas.

I'm sure there will be some better, more professional announcement at some point, but here's my best attempt to not sound like a doofus.

With the help of SHP, Kate Kaynak and my sub-agent Filiz Karaman, Daimon and Half-Blood have sold to Dogan Kitap which is a publishing house in Turkey. Yes, I will have a book coming out, written in Turkish. And a special thanks for Leah Clifford for talking me off the ledge.

WRITTEN IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE.

Okay, I know this isn't a big deal for seasoned authors, but it's MY FIRST foreign rights sale. Hold up, I need to breathe deeply so I can squeal.  I don't think when I wrote Half-Blood I really expected any of this to happen, I mean I hoped and prayed liked we all do, but in the back of my head, I think I didn't really believe it would.

*sniff *sniff

I'm so excited to be working with Dogan Kitap and cannot wait to hold a Turkish copy of Daimon and Half-Blood in my hands.

And yes, there will be more book news coming....  slowly but surely.
