1st Day of Christmas is a Win or Lose

On the first day of Christmas, it's a Win or Lose kind of thing. Huh? What? Well, I'm writing this blog post on Friday, with over an hour left in the YA Tourney. So I don't know how it's going to turn out. As of right this second, at 10:53pm, Alex is in the lead with 1474 votes.

Wow. Honestly, I cannot even express how amazing it is to see so much support for Alex. Truth is, she's kind of the little fish in the big pond, especially against the likes of Nora and now Roses. I'd love to see Alex win. Her story JUST started in October of 2011. One book. And she has a lot to share with the world. And still has brought in over 1400 votes. You guys amaze me. Honestly. And the #HalfBloodlegion. Wow. No words. Momo, I think I might love you. 

So, if Alex wins against Rose, she advances on to the next round. I will write another novella from Aiden's POV involving a trip with Leon. And yes, that novella will include scenes with Alex. Of course! I also said that if Alex wins I'd share the cover and official blurb for the Obsidian novella Shadows. 

But honestly , this isn't about winning or losing. This isn't about me or my writing. This isn't about the authors or the sexy scenes (although, they are fun!) . It's about the fans getting behind a character they love.This is about you guys. One of the amazing things I've seen today is people who've never heard of Alex or the Obsidian series talk about how they want to read it now. So, guess what, we won anyway.

I stopped looking at the votes around 11:50, because I know the last ten minutes can get insane. The support for Alex was amazing and there are no words. You guys really, really blew me away! I think she goes up against Katniss from THG next... lol. Alex doesn't get a break, does she?

Since Alex won, this means you will get a novella from Aiden's POV in addition to Sentinel. Now, this will probably be a smaller novella, and I'm not sure how the format will work. Probably a PDF kind of thing, More details on that later.
