Cover news

Some of you may know that Half-Blood is a part of a series. I wrote Half-Blood and it's sequel back to back. Well, there was another novel in-between the two, but that's neither here nor there.

Anyhoo, the sequel is slated to be published in Spring 2012 and a cover has popped up on the internet. And if you have seen it, it's the actual cover. So I figured I should blog it up.

So there you go. Now I go back to writing. Peace out home skillets.

  2. o.o Omg! That is so pretty! I like it better than the first one, and the first one is just darn awesome. I probably like the blue aesthetic better...but either way, so pretty! You have some really good cover artist(s) behind you. :)

  5. WOW! You are so lucky to have such a beautiful cover! I love it.

You're such a tease though. I'm already excited for this book and the first one is still months away! *narrows eyes and shakes finger at you* You know at first I was kind of jealous of your awesome. Now I'm kind of freaked out by it. Haha.

  11. That is a beautiful cover. Do you know your artist?

I like the opposites depicted here. On one hand it's peaceful and serene. One the other hand, the beauty of the rose distracts one completely from the fact roses can rip, tear, and draw blood. Things are not always what they seem, are they?

  12. Ah Sia- you nailed the cover on it's head! It's a combination of actual drawing and some fancy tweaking. I'm pretty dumb when it comes to that kind of stuff.

Thanks everyone for the cover love! It's probably my fav so far.

Kate- Just seeing my name in the list of great authors is pretty damn cool.
