Obsidian Fan made trailer voting is now open! POLL CLOSES AT 4pm EST 2/22

Welcome to the second round of Obsidian fan made trailer contest. We had some really, really great submissions and it was hard to narrow it down to a few. Thank you to everyone who took the time to create one. You guys constantly amaze me.
Remember, voting is open UNTIL Feb 21st 11:59pm. Winner will be chosen on Feb. 22nd and will be the FIRST person to read Onyx.

    please vote for mine... #10 ...I did a lot of photoshopping...and sacrificed the rest of the video because I didn't get a lot of time to finish it because of school...I'd love you foreverrrrrrrrrrrrr...and everrrrrrrrr...and everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...did I mention I'd love you forever?

      I'm number 6 even though you didn't pick me , thankyou for considering me, I had absolutely no idea about making a trailer, I can do an IMM vlog, but I tried to figure out how to add bits of tv shows etc and I take my hat off to all the peeps here that did that and the MAGIC stuff they added to their vids. I had to try and make my vid come alive with still shots. I had such fun and did more than I thought I could. It did take like 3 days..hehe!! Then the music..OMG what music do you put with the vid..further racking of the brain and then the timing of it to quotes..great fun. Who knew this housewife could make a book trailer?

    Wow! These fans are talented! I don't have the patience to do this... writing yes, but mixing images, voice overs and music etc - not at all. Congrats to all these entrants!! :)

    These are all so, so good. I spent a day last week just watching them all on youtube! I really wish I knew how to put something like this together and then I'd have a go myself! I went with trailer 5 as it's so different to other trailers and it accurately represents the book without stealing images from other TV shows - just out of interest, I also loved the one with Damon and Elena *swoon*.

    Are the number of votes really the ultimate deciding factor for the winning trailer? It's just that... I'm really sorry but the ones leading just don't hold much appeal to me especially if I haven't read Obsidian...

      like Mollie said...I worked hard on mine...and I wanted to do a lot more with mine then I did...but it came down to time...school...and being sick...I'm a film major...and this is horrible quality for me...but with the help of family, friends and classmates...and friends' friends...I got a lot of votes...the only thing I'm really proud of is the photoshopping...but the door scene's head still looks awkward...but I took 3 pictures to make that scene...but of course there wasn't any good quality straight on pictures of the actor...so I took what I had and did the best in the time frame I had.

    Usually in contests like this, that's how it goes. Its more of a popularity contest or a contest on who can solicit the most votes. I'm not saying thats a bad thing. In fact, I knew that going into this. I entered because it sounded like fun and deep down inside I hoped I might, perhaps, hopefully, wishfull thinkingly win. Either way, I had a BLAST making it and was able to share with readers a book I thought was amazing. Because of my trailer and vote soliciting, I know of several people who are now going to read Obsidian which is the whole point, right? If not, it should be. I think it was awesome for Jennifer to do this contest and even if the winning video wasn't the "best" by some peoples standards, I'm sure they worked just as hard on their video and even harder getting votes. I'm super excited (and a little bordering on a lot jealous) for whoever wins!!! All the videos were GREAT!!! I may have to wait until August to read Onyx (Grrrrrrr ;-)), but if I had to do it all over again...hells yea I would!!!! I'm going to hop down off my soap box now and call it a night :-)

    I had so much fun making mine and I learnt a lot. To me this was about having some creative fun . I am just sooo stoked I made it into the top 11. That for me was a HUGE achievement. I am one of the lowest votes hehe!! I LOVE this book so much and all of Jennifers writing. I just wanted to have fun and I will continue to enter to try to get early reads of Jennifer's work if I can win them as I just have the best time with her books. Plus I just love her male lead characters, I get massive ficitonal crushes on them:D These vids do take a lot of time and work and we all did that. I voted for number 5 because I thought it was fantastic!! Everybody put in so much work. I'm currently having a go at Everneath book review..hehe!! Lordy knows what I am doing been at it all day, but I am having fun. At lease I have an updated movie maker now:D

    Congrats to all of you who made it to the top 11!
    I saw all of the vids and everyone put a lot of time to make them!
    And I spend so much time typing "please enter here and vote for N 10" in the last 48hs that I can type it in my sleep... but I had fun and we had fun making the video.
    plus I know this isn't your best work (I've seen your vids and photoshop pics!) but you made it in no time and still pull it of! so you deserve this :D

    by the way...to the creators of 1, 4, & 5...I liked your videos...I wish I put some more actual book trailer stuff in my video...and I think your guys' really look like one...short and sweet...minimalist...but in a good professional way...am I make sense?...it's too tired for me to tell.
